Maria Grever wrote the song in Spanish. Edie Gorme and others performed it units original language. Stanley Adams wrote the American English translation, and the Dinah Washington version was the most popular of many recordings of it. That’s definitely not Washington singing inthis commercial. It’s sounds a little like a mix of Lalah Hathaway and Nina Simone Neal (Detroit), but best guess is that a studio lead singer turned this into her own song. We would love to know who sings it! She’s great.
